Catching up in Edmonton | Cycle Across Canada
We arrived in Vegreville on Saturday and were picked up by Norman (Maxine’s cousin) at the Pysanka (world’s largest Easter egg). Norman dropped us off at Maxine’s Uncle Mike’s farm for a very much appreciated home cooked meal of BBQ ribs, fresh garden peas and banana potatoes followed by home made Saskatoon pie! We were in food heaven. Then out to the garden to pick peas and carrots for the next day’s ride munchies.
Cycle Across Canada but last 2 days sucked!!!
We had a great time in Saskatoon with Steve and we headed out on Tuesday and ran straight into a head wind. Hmm… well we soldiered on and did 75 k before calling it a day.
Cycle Across Canada | This is our day of glory
Yes, we have a tail wind! Now we know what it would have been like to do it the right direction. After leaving Darrell and Evelyn and the kittens (sooo cute) we fly!
Pride of the Prairies | Cycle Across Canada
The last two days have been great! 122 k to Carberry and then 100 k to Oak Lake. The land has flattened out but the rain is starting. We have done about 96 k, arrive in Moosomin, we are tired so we decide on a room for the night but everthing is booked! Then the Pride of the Prairies and its’ generosity shows itself.
