Thanks to all

Only two days to go, and we are on our way! Before we leave, we want to say a big "thank you" to all our friends, family and businesses that have been so generous in their support.

A special thanks to all the following local and Island businesses that have given a donation to us in support of the Lung Association: RBC Dominion Securites, Boston Pizza, Experience Cycling of Duncan, Windsor Plywood, Scotiabank, Roots Hair Salon, Riverside Nissan, Duncan Hill Travel, The Third Edition in Mill Bay, The Wine Cottage, Comox Physiotherapy Clinic, Comox Video Too Enterprises and Dr Colleen Clancy - Dentist.

We ask all our supporters that if possible, they support these businesses who have helped us raise funds for the Lung Association.

For everyone reading this who may not have donated, you can still do this via our "Donate for Dave/Maxine" links on the Home Page - that opportunity will be open all the time we are riding!

If you have already donated, follow the "Donate for .." links again, and you will see your name on the Lung Association "Roll of Honour".

Thanks again to all of you from Maxine and Dave

Good riding to both of you. A marvelous odyssey. Look forward to following your route and adventures, particularly the surprises. Most interested in your east to west direction. What is your rationale (assume there is more than coinciding with the Sept. Lung Ride). Bon voyage!

Hi. Just to let you know that the enormous block of cheese was a great idea. Sacha's little whimpers soon stopped when I called all three dogs to "come have some CHEESE", followed by an intensive session with the orange ball. Have you ever known Sacha to get tired of this before you do?
Having established her dominant status over the machinations of mere humans by escaping from the confines of the new fence within minutes of her arrival, Willow has graciously since chosen to remain within said confines, with us, so far. (Willow said I could say this.)
Gypsy has been in a hyper-excited state ever since the arrival of her two guests, no doubt energised by having eaten most of the edible parts of all three pig's toe-nail doggy treats. Surprisingly, your two little sweet-hearts are curled up together on their sheepskin bed as I write this while Gypsy has headed up-stairs to bed with Len.
Hope you are both already sound asleep by now before your early start in the morning to fly East. Bon voyage. Judy

I drove Dave and Maxine to the Airport early Sunday morning. They left without any problems and even were upgraded to executive class. They have made it to St. Johns (bikes and all) so we should see a Blog entry from them soon.
